It’s a cool day. These cars are going to have lots of grip while they make lots of power.

Rain played a roll in the practice session earlier today. This final Indy practice of the day is a two hour session.
Top Gun Racing is making their Indycar debut this weekend and they were fast in rookie orientation with driver RC Emerson However, a mechanical issue has forced them to end their day early and will not take part in this session.
With an hour and fifteen minutes left, Bourdais has lost an engine. The track is red flagged as he coasts back to the pits with a fire.
With an hour left in the session, Sage Karam jumped to the top of the board. It’s only practice but that’s huge for that small team.
“The last few years I haven’t been happy when I come out here. I’m stoked,” Karam tells NBC Sports as he climbed from the car. “This is probably the best day 1 I’ve ever had at this speedway.”
Karam has called it a day with 35 minutes remaining in the session. A bulk of cars are on the track, making race runs.
30 minutes remain, Will Power sits at the top of the board.
5 minutes remain in the session, the track remains busy. Drivers continue to work on the setups while in the draft.
