NASCAR practice results from the 1/4-mile Los Angeles Coliseum
Today, NASCAR’s new track makes it’s debut in Los Angeles, California. A temporary 1/4-mile oval has been placed inside the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum for the Busch Light Clash.

It’s also the debut of the Next Gen car. This is the first official practice session for the entirely new spec car.
The field has been divided into three groups. Each group has 8 minute sessions at a time over the next two hours.
At the start of the practice, everybody was dipping their left front or all four tires below the white lane an onto the rumble strips. However, as the 2 hour session rolled along, most of the field moved up a whole lane.
Chase Briscoe had a unique issue toward the end of the practice. He broke a throttle cable and had no power as a result.
Chase Elliott was fastest overall at the end of the near 2 hour session. He turned a 13.455 with an average speed of 66.890.
