Indycar race results from the Indianapolis Motor Speedway
Indycar is unloaded in Speedway, Indiana. The 14-turn road course inside the Indianapolis Motor Speedway is set to host the Gallagher Grand Prix.

Felix Rosenqvist and Alexander Rossi set the front row. 85 laps of open wheel racing are up next…
Green flag, Rosenqvist gets the jump and he’s clear before turn one. Scott McLaughlin makes a late dive to the inside in turn one to make it three wide for 2nd.
Colton herta gets into Will Power in turn two. Power wiggles and tags Pato O’Ward. O’Ward is around, no caution.
Lap 3, Dalton Kellett is stalled, caution.
Green, Rossi looks inside of Rosenqvist into turn one. Rossi drives right by under braking as he missed the corner. Rosenqvist takes the lead right back as Herta takes over 2nd.
Herta has a run on Rosenqvist down the back straight. Herta dives to the inside and takes the lead.
Lap 10, Will Power and others pit early and they’ll be on an alternate strategy.
Lap 13, very slow pit stop for Conor Daly. The whole field drives by before he exits his stall.
Lap 14, Herta pits from the race lead.
Another issue on the pit lane, this time it’s Romian Grosjean who stalls.
Lap 25, Will Power cycles to the race lead after pitting on lap 10 with three others. Herta runs 4th, 7 seconds back.
Lap 28, Herta is up to 2nd. Power leads by 5.3 seconds.
Lap 32, Power hits the pit lane and he’ll try to finish the race on one more stop. Herta cycles to the race lead.
Lap 35, Simon Pagenaud is out of fuel. He slows and most of the field heads for the pit lane before the caution. With pit stops complete, Indycar waves the yellow.
Green, Herta leads Rossi and Lundgaard into turn one.
Lap 42, race leader Colton Herta slows with an issue after jumping a curb! He slows to a stop at the entry of the pit lane. Alexander Rossi is handed the lead.
Penalty: Helio Castroneves is being sent to the rear of the field after contact with Kyle Kirkwood.
Lap 62, Rossi pits from the race lead. This is the final pit stop.
Lap 63, Rossi cycles back to the race lead. Lundgaard trails by just 2.4 seconds.
10 to go, Rossi leads Lundgaard by 2.7 seconds.
5 to go, Rossi has opened the gap to 4 seconds.
