Most Popular Driver voting is currently underway for the 2022 NASCAR season. And the campaigning is getting a little aggressive.
Ryan Blaney has released a series of smear campaign videos in hopes of attracting your vote. Videos take aim at the Hooters sponsored driver.
Do you really know Chase Elliott?
“NASCAR’s Most Popular Driver, Chase Elliott, he uses a fork and knife to eat his wings. Vote for a man willing to get a little dirty. Vote Ryan Blaney!”
Now, a new video has been released, again targeting rival candidate Chase Elliott.
“Chase Elliott, Mr. Fork and Knife,” the latest video opens. “Most Popular Driver? He thinks parmesan garlic’s too spicy. Might as well order them plain.”
“Vote Ryan Blaney, he can handle the heat.”
The ads conclude with a special message:
“YRB for MPD is responsible for the content of this advertising. Paid for by Moms for Blaney, Babies for Blaney, Dogs for Blaney and The Chicken Wing Lovers Community.”
