NASCAR drivers troll each other as Pennzoil / Valvoline influencers
This weekend, the NASCAR Cup Series heads to Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Sunday’s event in Las Vegas, Nevada is sponsored by Pennzoil.
Team Penske driver Ryan Blaney is also sponsored by Pennzoil. Ahead of the race weekend, he’s been sent a box of items.
“They always send me some cool stuff,” Blaney opened in the video.
For starters, a towel was in the box. As Blaney says, “For all your towel needs.”
Other items: Pennzoil hat, Pennzoil playing cards, Pennzoil form finger, Pennzoil bag, Pennzoil socks and finally a Joey Logano car.
Blaney explained, “That’s awful nice of you to send a Joey Logano car. I really appreciate that. I don’t know what use I’ll have for it. Maybe my nephew will play with it. So, that’s good.”
Elliott responded, “Well, Ryan Blaney here. It is your Twitter account.”
Valvoline is a sponsor for all of Hendrick Motorsports, including Chase Elliott.
Elliott clarified, “And before I get in trouble for engaging with the enemy on the oil front, I want to preface this interaction with: I prefer Valvoline and their products for my daily needs as well as high performance needs in motorsports.”
Ryan Blaney responded, “Do you though?”
Just a few weeks ago, these two crashed in the opening race of the 2021 season. Each of them were going to the win in the final corner of The Clash exhibition event. As they crashed, neither driver won.
