Felix Rosenqvist takes home a record payout for the Indianapolis 500 win
Felix Rosenqvist won Sunday’s Indy 500 with a pass off the final corner. As they ran side-by-side to the finish, it was the closest Indy 500 finish in history.
With the win, Rosenqvist has taken home the highest payout in the history of the sport. He’s earned $4.34M for the win.
The 2026 purse has been set at $30,906,400. That’s a significant jump from the 2025 race of 20,283,000.
The average payout for the race was $936,500, far exceeding last year’s average of $596,500.
