Green flag, Pierce gets the jump via the outside lane. Alberson holds 2nd as Davenport bobbles off turn two.

Lap 5, Pierce opens a gap to Alberson and he rolls the middle of the track.

Lap 10, Pierce is closing on the tail of the field. Alberson is closing the gap quickly.

Lap 14, Alberson bobbles into turn one and catches the outside wall with light contact. Jonathan Davenport drives right by to take 2nd away.

Lap 16, Pierce runs three wide and through the middle with lap traffic.

Lap 18, Pierce leads with Davenport on his bumper. Davenport enters high in turn three and builds momentum. He crosses under Pierce and leads by inches at the line.

Davenport runs into a lap traffic road block on the inside into turn one. Pierce powers by on the outside to hold the lead.

Lap 27, Terry Phillips spins, caution.

Green, Pierce leads through the middle as Davenport rolls the top. Davenport has a run off turn two! He cuts inside of Pierce and slides him into turn three. Davenport leads off turn four!

Lap 29, Sheppard slides Pierce for 2nd. Pierce slides him back.

Lap 30, Pierce heads for the cushion into turn one and he spins! The caution is out. All tires are up on his machine, he just ran too high.

Green, Davenport leads as Sheppard and Weiss rub fenders for 2nd. Sheppard wins the battle for 2nd on the inside lane off turn two.

5 to go, Sheppard has closed the gap to Davenport.

3 to go, Sheppard loses ground off turn two as the car is tight on entry.
