Just ahead of qualifying, teams rolled to the track for a brief 20 minute practice session. Kyle Busch brushed the wall with the right rear and right front and picked up light damage.
The field is split into two groups for the opening round of qualifying. The top 5 from each group advance into round 2.

After making repairs, Kyle Busch was able to advance into round two in qualifying. However, he spun into turn one and backed his car into the fence.
Christopher Bell will start from the pole position at NHMS! He turned a lap at 30.524 seconds.
