Tomorrow, the NASCAR Cup Series takes the green flag in Long Pond, PA. Now, the field is set to roll to the 2.5-mile triangle of Pocono Raceway for a round of practice and qualifying.

The field is split into two groups for the opening round of qualifying. The top 5 from each group advance into round two and make a run at the pole.
Todd Gilliland spun during group A qualifying. Gilliland made light contact with the outside wall.
Pocono Qualifying (Group A – Top 5) : 1. Bubba Wallace (52.823); 2. Denny Hamlin (53.023); 3. Christopher Bell (52.823); 4. Austin Cindric (53.293); 5. Joey Logano (53.403)
Chase Elliott spun in group B qualifying. He bottomed out and the backend stepped out. Elliott was able to keep it out of the wall.

Bubba Wallace brushed the wall during his lap in the final round of qualifying. He shut it down and didn’t complete the lap.
William Byron will start from the pole position. He turned a lap at 52.746 seconds.
