Race Report
Green flag, Jesse Love shoves Gus Dean to the lead in turn one. Perez falls to 3rd.
Lap 2, Perez is back to 2nd. He closes quickly to the bumper of Dean in the battle for the lead.
Lap 15, Jesse Love slides Andres Perez for 2nd.
Lap 19, Jesse Love works under Gus Dean and they run side by side for the lead. Love clears him in turn four, Love leads.
Lap 23, Connor Mosack stated this race at the tail of the field. He’s just moved into 3rd.
Lap 24, Masack slides Perez for 2nd.
Lap 27, Frankie Muniz and Jake Finch fight for space off turn two, Finch pinches his exit. They bang doors and now Muniz has a flat tire into turn three. Muniz picks up light damage and the caution is out.
Green, Love leads off turn two. Kris Wright takes over 2nd. Perez works to the right rear of Wright into turn three. Perez back to 2nd.
Lap 36, the competition caution is out.
Green, Love leads Perez into turn one. Perez works inside of Love into turn three. They run side by side for the lead. Perez drives it deep to the inside, clear. Perez takes the lead away.
Lap 52, Love works inside of Perez off turn two. Perez holds him off in turn three.
Lap 59
Lap 59, Scott Melton spins, slides through the grass and the caution is out.
Perez stays out as he missed the call from the team to pit. Love and most of the field head for the pit lane.
Green, Perez leads as Love quickly returns to 2nd.
Lap 70, the second competition caution is out.
Perez and others hit the pit lane. Love stays out and takes over the lead.
Green, Love and Mosack run side bu side into turn one. They fight for space off turn two. Gus Dean has a run on both of them into turn three. Dean slides them both, Dean leads off turn four!
23 to go, Masack looks inside of Dean in the battle for the lead. They rub fenders and fight for space. Dean skates up the hill and brushes the wall. Andres Perez splits them all and returns to the lead!
14 to go, Mosack is on the bumper of Perez in the battle for the lead.
12 to go, Mosack pulls right to the bumper of Perez. Perez gets loose and skates up the banking. Mosack takes the lead into turn one!
9 to go, Perez is slowing with an engine failure.
8 to go, caution.
Green with 1 to go, Mosack gets jacked sideways at the launch! Love leads Andy Jankowiak into turn one! Multiple cars stack up behind them, caution.
The caution is out and they’ll do it again.
Green in Overtime, Love leads into turn one as they run three wide for 2nd.
Jesse Love wins at Michigan International Speedway!
