Erebus Motorsport plans to make NASCAR Cup Series debut

A new NASCAR team in 2024?

Erebus Motorsport is an Australian based team that competes in the Supercars Championship. The No. 9 entry is driven by Will Brown and their No. 99 car is driven by Brodie Kostecki.

Kostecki made his NASCAR Cup Series debut earlier this season at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Road Course. And he has interest in doing more.

Erebus Motorsport has worked with Richard Childress Racing. And, they plan to take that partnership further into 2024.

Erebus Motorsport is looking to field a NASCAR Cup Series entry next season…

“It is something we’ve talked about for a while, and I’ve always told Betty [Klimenko] that it should be something we look at,” team CEO Berry Ryan told Auto Action.

“With Brodie having so much interest in it, too, and with what he did, it’s silly not to keep developing our relationship with RCR for the benefit of both teams.”

“RCR definitely sees value in it for their road course program, and we see value in it. If we can send more staff over there and get some experience in between events, it’s invaluable.”
