Asphalt late model drivers are in the grid in Pensacola, Florida. The half-mile of 5 Flags Speedway is set to host the Snowball Derby.

Gio Ruggiero is getting a push to the pit lane before the green flag. The crew is scrambling to get it running.

Race Report

Green flag, Thorn noses ahead via the inside lane into turn one. Three cars tangle in turn two, caution.

Green, Thorn clears Majeski before turn one. Bubba Pollard stay in the gas and works to the outside of Majeski, side by side for 2nd, Pollard wins that battle.

Ruggiero has joined the field but he’s several laps down after missing the start.

Lap 20, Conner Jones blows a left rear. He nearly spins but tags the outside wall, caution.

Lap 34, Jackson Boone slams the wall and the caution is out. Erik Jones tagged him in the left rear and Boone made hard contact with the outside wall.

Lap 80, Pollard works by Thorn and he takes the lead. That’s the first lead change of the day.

Lap 100, Stephen Nasse works under Thorn. Nasse takes 2nd away.

Competition caution

Lap 123, the caution is out. This is a competition caution.

The field heads to the pit lane for tires and adjustments. The field is frozen as these are controlled pit stops.

Green, Pollard and Nasse run side by side into turn one. Pollard gets loose on the inside off turn two. Nasse has momentum on the outside. They rub doors, Pollard wiggles and Nasse takes the lead away on the outside!

Lap 168, Ryan Preece pulls to the pit lane under green. He appears to be done with a mechanical issue.

Lap 180, Majeski has climbed to the bumper of Pollard. He dives inside and Majeski takes 2nd away.

Lap 200, Nasse leads byt Majeski has closed the gap to just two car lengths.

92 to go

92 to go, another competition caution is out.

Green, Majeski gets the jump on the outside lane. Majeski noses ahead into turn one and he leads off turn two!

62 to go, Nasse leans in the bumper of Majeski into turn three. Majeski chases it up the banking and Nasse returns to the lead. Pollard follows him through to take 2nd.

Majeski leans on the bumper of Pollard. Majeski reclaims 2nd.

25 to go, Luke Fenhaus is around with help from Erik Jones. The caution is out.

Teams head to the pit lane for another set of tires and adjustments.

Green, Noah Gragson gets turned at the launch! 10+ cars are collected and the red flag is out.

“I just messed up and didn’t get it in gear. That’s on me,” Noah Gragson says.

Green, Nasse and Majeski run even into turn one. Majeski clears him off turn two! Nasse leans on the bumper of Majeski into turn three but Majeski holds the lead.

16 to go

16 to go, Nasse looks inside of Majeski. Majeski shuts the door and Majeski is sideways! Side by side for the lead, they rub doors.

14 to go, Nasse and Majeski rub doors once more into turn one. Majeski nearly spins, they remain side by side.

12 to go, they remain side by side for the lead. More contact is made.

10 to go, Nasse leans into the door of Majeski in the braking zone of turn one. Nasse finally clears Majeski and Pollard takes over 2nd.

8 to go, Pollard leans on the bumper of Nasse off turn four!

Pollard looks inside of Nasse in turn one. Nasse cuts across his nose and Nasse is turned! Pollard is collected, they’re both parked in turn two! The caution is out.

Green, Ty Majeski and Gio Ruggiero run side by side into turn one. Majeski clears him off turn two.

5 to go, Majeski opens the gap.
