On Saturday night, Thomas Meseraull and Cannon McIntosh found themselves in a B-Main. It was the last chance to qualify for the main event. However, only the top 7 finishers would transfer into the main event.

On the final lap, McIntosh slid Meseraull for a spot. He didn’t clear him. Instead, he drove into the side bars.

Meseraull was pushed over the cushion. He tagged the wall and was sent into a barrel roll. Meseraull was unable to finish the race, coming up one hundred feet shot of the finish line and upside down.

McIntosh did transfer into the main event.

The safety team approached the car of T-Mez while it was still upside down. They drew fire extinguishers and sprayed the car. Meseraull apparently threw something out of the car as he was getting out.

A safety worker was heard saying, “Why do you gotta throw shit at us?”

What McIntosh didn’t know was, they were both in a transfer spot when he pulled the aggressive slide job. In a post race interview, McIntosh took blame for not knowing that, “That definitely doesn’t make it look good. That makes me look pretty stupid there.”

Meseraull was escorted to the exit of the building. When he got there, the cut off his wrist band.

Thomas Meseraull comments

“Got ejected,” Thomas Meseraull told FloRacing directly after the crash.

“I’m out here trying to put on a show. I didn’t even know it was the last lap. Of course it was Cannon. Can’t drive Cannon McIntosh.

“We’re just going for it, trying to do all we can. We had a car capable of being in the show. We’re not there but that’s alright, we were part of the show.”

“I wish I knew. You guys probably should know because you’re part of this program,” Thomas Meseraull added as he was unsure of why he was being kicked out.

“I come out here to put on a show. I feel like we put on a show. It was a good event. Collected my money, sold 600 t-shirts thanks to my amazing fans.”

“What they said was, ‘I punched an official.’ But, I’m pretty sure I didn’t,” Thomas Meseraull told Always Race Day.

“The hit me with the fire extinguisher. I lost my breath. When I tighten my belt, I use a ratchet and I tossed it out of the car. It hit the guy that happened to be holding the fire extinguisher.”

A video of Meseraull being escorted is posted below. The driver chatted with fans as he was being escorted.

“Fuck Cannonball, they wouldn’t even let me go over to him. They’re fucking kicking me out of the building,” Thomas Meseraull told fans as he was being escorted out of the building.

Update: Thomas Meseraull has returned to the building

It appears that officials thought Meseraull tossed equipment at them on purpose. Following the escort and a talk with officials, they are now on good terms.

“I’m back in the building,” Meseraull stated.

He added, “It was just a big misunderstanding.”
