NASCAR hauler involved in highway crash (Video)

The West Coast swing has a history of being a transport nightmare

On Thursday, a Stewart-Haas Racing hauler was involved in a highway crash. The incident took place on I-10 in Geronimo, Texas.

Watch the NASCAR hauler crash video below.

The hauler was heading Eastbound. This was not a hauler heading to Phoenix Raceway.

NASCAR teams raced at Las Vegas Motor Speedway last weekend. For races on the West Coast, it’s not uncommon for teams to send an unmarked transport hauler. The cars used in the last race are swapped and taken back to the team shop in North Carolina while the track haulers head to the next West Coast event.

According to SHR, the hauler pulled to the shoulder before the crash. It was struck while parked on the side of the highway.

The hauler has been repaired. Drivers were back on the road quickly.

Last year, Stewart-Haas Racing had another issue en route to Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Riley Herbst’s Xfinity Series hauler was seen parked over the edge of the highway after the crash.

NASCAR Cup Series drivers have already been on-track this weekend. All four Stewart-Haas Racing cars turned laps in Friday’s practice session.
