NASCAR team returns for the first time in 2 years

MBM Motorsports will be on the entry list for COTA in the NASCAR Cup Series

MBM Motorsports is set to make their first start in the NASCAR Cup Series since 2022. The No. 66 will be on the entry List for Circuit of the Americas.

The team owned by Carl Long opened their doors in 2014.

Timmy Hill has been signed as the driver of the machine. Hill has made 141 NCS starts over an 11-year career.

Hill will be pulling double-duty as he’s also entered to race a truck at COTA in the NASCAR Truck Series. He’ll be driving the No. 56 truck at COTA.

On Thursday, the team made the official announcement. Hear from the team below:

“For the first time since 2022, MBM is returning to the NASCAR Cup Series! Timmy Hill is set to drive our #66 Ford COTA in the EchoPark Automotive Grand Prix,” MBM Motorsports stated via social media.

The team added, “Time is running out to get your company logo on the car! Reach out to us today”

Back in 2022, Boris Said drove the No. 66 to a 26th place finish. That was also at COTA.

Hill has yet to run a NASCAR Cup Series race with the new generation car. NASCAR leveled the playing field with a spec chassis starting in 2022.
