NASCAR drivers have a confrontation after the race at Bristol Motor Speedway
On Saturday night, Bristol Motor Speedway hosted the NASCAR Truck Series. It was a thrilling race all the way to the end and then more fireworks went off between drivers after the checkered flag.

Nick Sanchez started the race from the front and he spent most of the night there. However, at the start of stage three, Sanchez was handed a penalty following a pit stop. That sent him to the rear of the field with just 120 laps to go.
Yet 32 laps to go, Sanchez was charging back through the field. He was working his way through the top 10 as he ran the high side of the track.
Sanchez was one of only a few drivers rolling the outside lane as it didn’t come in until they got toward the end of the race. Stewart Friesen was rolling the bottom.
Sanchez had a bunch of momentum on Friesen. He worked to his right rear but he only had a few inches on him.
Friesen closed the door. He hooked himself into the outside wall and both trucks picked up heavy damage.

Post-race altercation
After the race, Friesen walked over to the truck of Nick Sanchez to have a conversation.
“If I wasn’t to your outside, we don’t hit the wall. I was coming hard,” Sanchez was heard telling Friesen.
Friesen stated, “You’re an idiot.” Sanchez asked, “Oh, I’m the idiot?”
Friesen added, “You could have waited one more lap.”
Sanchez began smiling and Friesen was becoming noticeably more agitated. Things got heated quickly as Friesen grabbed Sanchez by his racing suit. He pulled Sanchez closer to him.
“Do you want to go,” Sanchez said with a smile.
Moments later, the drivers were separated as crew members pulled them apart.
Sanchez is no stranger to confrontations. Last season, he was punched by Matt Crafton after the race at Talladega Superspeedway.
