Watch as things got heated between the NASCAR drivers after the race at Circuit of the Americas
On Saturday, NASCAR Xfinity Series drivers raced in Austin, Texas. The event at Circuit of the Americas saw some drama on the final lap.
On the last restart, Sage Karam found himself in 2nd place. By the final lap, Karam remained inside the top 5 and looking for a career best finish.
However, contact from Parker Kligerman sent Karam spinning. After the race, Karam climbed from his car and approached Kligerman to have a conversation.
Karam: “You can’t race me like a man, dude?”
Kligerman: “You guys literally checked up. I was giving you the spot back and you just f****** nailed me.”
Karam: “Giving the spot back? I bumped you because you bumped me then you ran me over.”
Kligerman: “I was giving you the room.”
Karam: “You’re terrible. Talent-less.”
Kligermand: “Good s***”
Parker Kligerman comments
“Huge points day for us and overall a really great day,” Parker Kligerman stated after the race.
“Proud of this team I feel awful for [Sam Hunt Racing] , I love that guy and have immense respect for what he has built and his employees. I consider them friends.”
“But there is an etiquette to this game when it comes to contact and I felt like the signal I was given, was if I re-passed their car I was going to be spun. Not a position I wanted to be in but I felt I was left no choice to get what my team deserved.”
He concluded, “I look forward to chatting with Sage when the time is right.”

“Great day gone bad.2nd on last restart in a good spot and got run over from what the 48 says he, ‘was left no choice.’ Everyone has choices but sometimes they are the wrong ones.”
