NASCAR hosted three races in Brazil this weekend. NASCAR Cup Series driver Daniel Suarez was on the entry list for all three races at Interlagos.

In the first race on Saturday, Daniel Suarez crossed the finish line first. However, we was issued a 5 second penalty for rough driving after the finish.

With the penalty to Suarez, Léo Torres was declared the winner.

“I love racing at Interlagos, even more so after being champion here last year. Being able to race with so many great motorsport drivers is incredible, not to mention competing with Daniel Suárez. Everything went well in the end and it was a perfect race,” said Léo Torres.

Later on Saturday, Suarez crossed the finish line in first. For the second time of the day. This time, no penalty, Suarez went to victory lane.

“It’s always good to race here in Brazil, to learn more about these cars, this track and these rules,” Daniel Suarez stated.

“This is very different from anything I’ve ever raced in my life, especially in NASCAR. But overall, I had a lot of fun. That’s why I came here.”

“There’s always the hope of winning in the process, like I did now, and I’m very happy about that. It was a difficult race to see, I don’t know if the other competitors had better lights than me, for me that was complicated.”

“The important thing is that we won, we managed to bring the car in one piece and the team did a great job. But the big race is tomorrow and anything can happen,” said Suárez.

Today, Suarez finished 3nd in the third and final race of the event.
