Bubba Wallace comments on negatives of social media

The NASCAR driver has elected to skip the comment section, “It’s been so nice.”

Bubba Wallace races in the NASCAR Cup Series. And in recent weeks, he’s turned over a new leaf but at the track and in his own social media habits.

Since Pocono in July, Bubba Wallace has elected to avoid social media. Yes, he still posts, less frequently. But, it appears he’s electing to skip the mentions and the comment section on those posts.

As anyone should. I personally have not read a single comment since 2019, not one. Who cares!

And, since skipping the comment section, Wallace has finished 5th, 4th and was in the hunt for the win at Michigan and again at Daytona.

“It’s been so nice,” Bubba Wallace told reporters of his exit from the details of social media.

“Just being caught up in other people’s lives, and just start comparing, like, ‘Man, I want…’ it’s just, aside from the toxic comments, social media is just a lot, at times.”

“I do miss the photography side of it, you know, posting all of that stuff,” he added. “But it’s just way better for the mentals. YouTube is my best friend.”

Dale Earnhardt Jr comments

“Bubba has shared with us here in this room and everyone else his challenges with his emotions and his mental state of mind,” Dale Earnhardt Jr stated.

“I appreciate being open about that. We all probably have more mental challenges and battles going on than we like to admit.”

“But he’s been open about that, and it seems like Bubba definitely does dwell on certain instances like this and maybe makes it a bit larger in his own mind than it is to the rest of us.”
