It’s the week of the Daytona 500 in Florida. Now, the NASCAR Cup Series rolls to the track for qualifying at Daytona International Speedway.

Format
Two rounds of qualifying are on deck with just one lap in each round. The top 10 from round one advance into round two and make another lap in the battle for the pole position.
The top 2 qualifiers tonight will be locked on the front row for Sunday’s Daytona 500. Two of the 9 open (non-charter) cars will also lock into Sunday’s race.
Outside of the front row, qualifying from tonight will set the lineup for Thursday’s Duel races. The results from the Duels will complete the starting lineup in the Daytona 500. Up to 5 open cars will be sent home after Thursday.

Chase Briscoe will start from the pole position in the Daytona 500 after turning a lap at 49.249 in round two of qualifying. Austin Cindric will complete the front row.
