Indycar race results from Sunday at Iowa Speedway
One race is already in the books at Iowa Speedway. Now, the Indycar Series is racked once more for the second race of the double-header weekend.

Race Report
Green flag, Palou leads Rosenqvist into turn one. Devlin DeFrancesco spins in turn three and he collects Scott McLaughlin. The caution is out.
Green, Palou leads Rosenqvist and Newgarden.
Lap 19, Newgarden has a run on Rosenqvist off turn two. He dives inside into turn three, Newgarden to 2nd.
Lap 21, Will Power slows with a mechanical failure, no caution.
Lap 50, Sting Ray Robb loses the rear of the car at the center of the corner. He backs it hard into the wall and the caution is out.
Green, Palou leads Newgarden and Malukas. Newgarden has a run into turn three. He looks to the outside lane, they run side by side off turn four. Newgarden takes the lead away as they return to the turn one!
Lap 100, Newgarden leads Palou by 1.1 seconds.
Caution during the pit cycle
Lap 130, Newgarden pits from the race lead. Just as he gets to the pit stall, Marcus Ericsson suffers a tire failure and he tags the outside wall. The caution is out.
Newgarden is now a lap down. The rest of the field heads for the pit lane. Palou takes over the race lead. Newgarden gets the wave around and he’s now on the tail of the lead lap.
Green, Palou leads Malukas and O’Ward.
Lap 176, Callum Ilott loses the rear and backs it hard into the wall. The caution is out.
Palou heads for the pit lane with many of the leaders. Kyle Kirkwood elects to stay out.
Green, Malukas has a look inside of Palou but he can’t get there. Palou rolls the outside lane and he works to the right rear of Kirkwood off turn two. A lap later, Palou finally clears Kirkwood, Palou retakes the lead.
Malukas takes 2nd away. Kirkwood is dropping through the field on older tires.
Lap 225, Palou leads Malukas by 1.2 seconds. Newgarden has climbed back to 3rd.
40 to go, Newgarden has a run on Malukas off turn two. He dives inside into turn three, Newgarden to 2nd!
36 to go, Palou is in heavy lap traffic. Newgarden closes right to his gearbox. Newgarden enters high in turn three. He builds momentum and crosses under Palou off turn four!
Newgarden is inside of Palou into turn one. He clears him! Newgarden returns from a lap down to take the race lead!
Another caution during the pit cycle
24 to go, Newgarden pits from the lead. It’s a slow stop as he exits behind Malukas.
22 to go, Colton Herta suffers a flat tire and he bounces off the wall. The caution is out. All the leaders that hit the pit lane are now a lap down. Newgarden is a lap down for the second time after a caution during the pit cycle. He’ll get the wave around and be on the tail of the lead lap for the restart.
Green with 11 to go, Palou leads as Armstrong spins the tires. Dixon dives inside of Armstrong to take 2nd away into turn one.
5 to go, Palou leads Dixon by 0.6 seconds.
