Major Cody Ware crash didn’t bring caution in final laps (Video)

Cody Ware slammed the wall and spun back onto the racing surface; There was no caution and no mention of it on the broadcast

Om Sunday, the NASCAR Cup Series raced at Watkins Glen International. There was a significant crash that failed to get any attention.

With just 3 laps to go, Cody Ware got loose exiting turn six. He over-corrected and the car hooked hard right toward the barrier.

Ware’s No. 51 car slammed the tire barrier and the impact was enough to send him back onto the racing surface.

Ware sat on the track for a moment but was able to get out of the way. No caution was thrown.

The team stated via X, “Too damaged to continue. The 51 is in the garage.”

Remarkably, the video of the crash below was not shown at all on the television broadcast.

A man posted a photo of the crash site from the infield. It shows the wall bent inward near the impact site.

Recently, Ware was under-fire from Denny Hamlin after Ware spun out on his own in the closing laps of the race at Kansas Speedway. A caution came out and Hamlin ended up losing the race.
