Dave Marcis’ home was burglarized in North Carolina
Former NASCAR driver Dave Marcis suffered a home break-in earlier this month. The invasion took place while he was out of town.
The report noted that high value items were stolen. This included jewelry, personal NASCAR memorabilia and other items.
On September 3rd, 27-year-old Hailey Bowlin was arrested. She was then charged with second-degree burglary, possession of a firearm by a felon, larceny of a firearm, larceny after breaking and entering as well as five counts of obtaining property by false pretenses.
more recently, on September 8th, another arrest was made. 29-year-old Cameron Samotis has been charged with second-degree burglary.
Both are being held in Henderson County Detention Center.
The Buncombe County Sheriff’s Office has noted that most of the items reported stolen had been recovered.
Marcis ran 883 NASCAR Cup Series races with five career wins. He ran his first Cup race in 1968 and retired after the 2002 Daytona 500.
