For the last several weeks, Carson Hocevar has been a main subject of various NASCAR podcasts. He’s grabbed headline both on-track and off.

On Sunday, NASCAR raced at WWT Raceway. The race saw a record number of cautions. The new track record has been set at 18.

And despite his reputation, Hocevar caused none of them.

“I just wanna apologize to all the nascar podcast listeners out there,” Carson Hocevar stated via Facebook.

“Although there was a record high amount of cautions. The 77 didn’t cause any so it’s gonna be a slow news week. Maybe pick up a hobby and resume your podcast listening after we try again at Bristol.”

After the race, Hocevar asked officials to open the frontstretch gate to the grandstands. He then sat on the pit wall and signed autographs for the fans, well after the checkered flag.

The race itself didn’t go incident free for Hocevar. He was in-fact involved in an incident. But, as far as him not being the cause, true.

This weekend, NASCAR is heading to the half-mile short track of Bristol Motor Speedway. There are several NASCAR feuds boiling just ahead of the night race in The Last Great Coliseum.
