Timmy Hill steps back from NASCAR team ownership

Hill Motorsports fields the No. 56 entry in the NASCAR Truck Series

Timmy Hill and Tyler Hill are the current co-owners of Hill Motorsports. The team fields the No. 56 on a part-time basis in the NASCAR Truck Series.

Hill is driving the truck this weekend at Martinsville Speedway. And, it will be his final drive as a team owner…

Timmy Hill statement

“A new chapter is ahead. Martinsville will be my final scheduled race as a team owner. I’m incredibly grateful for the people, memories, and support we’ve had,” Timmy Hill stated.

He added, “For now, my focus shifts back to where it all started, driving. Those plans coming soon. Excited for what’s next!”

The statement implies that Hill already has a deal lined up to continue to drive. It also implies that Hill Motorsports will be shutting down but that is not confirmed.

Hill has run 149 NASCAR Truck Series races. The current version of the team was opened in 2019.

Last week, Rackley W.A.R. announced that they would abruptly close the team directly following the race at Talladega Superspeedway. The late model side of that operation will continue as the NASCAR Truck side of the team has been closed.
