2017 Eldora NASCAR TV ratings up – NASCAR dirt race shows increase viewership
The pavement side of NASCAR viewership might be down. However, the NASCAR dirt race has shown a steady increase in viewers. It’s one of the rare NASCAR races to display an increase in viewers from the previous year.

Only a few months ago, it was announced that the race would be moved to the Fox Business channel. That’s usually a sign that the race will be a lost cause on a TV front.
Certainly people would have troubles finding it? Well, apparently not. Despite the race being moved to a non-sports channel, it still kicked ass.
The Eldora Dirt Derby feature race only displayed a slight increase in viewership. 660,000 viewers, up a full 2% from the same NASCAR dirt race 12 months ago.
There were still a lot of people that either didn’t have the channel or couldn’t find it. Evidence of that is displayed in the increase of viewership via the app. The Fox Sports Go app saw an increase of 361% in comparison to this same race last year. They hosted an average minute audience of 4,304.
