NASCAR driver/crew chief lineups for 2022

Here’s a list to keep track of drivers on new teams in the 2022 season

There’s been a lot of movement heading into the 2022 NASCAR Cup Series season. The chart below lists every team that’s expected to run full-time.

Highlighting the changes are new teams from Trackhouse Racing, 23XI Racing and the newly re-named Petty GMS Racing.

Trackhouse Racing purchased Chip Ganassi Racing last season. The charter acquisition opened the door for a second team. Ross Chastain will pilot the No. 1 car, the second Trackhouse entry.

Brad Keselowski moves to Roush Fenway Keselowski Racing as a driver/team owner. He’ll pilot the No. 6 machine, replacing Ryan Newman. Austin Cindric has been promoted to take over the No. 2 machine at Team Penske, left by Keselowski.

Harrison Burton has left the Toyota pipeline. He’ll drive the No. 21 for Wood Brothers Racing, after Matt DiBenedetto has lost his ride.

GMS Racing purchased a majority stake in Richard Petty Motorsports. The new team has been rebranded as Petty GMS Racing. Ty Dillon will pilot the No. 42, a second car from the team.

Todd Gilliland has replaced Anthony Alfredo at Front Row Motorsports.

Kaulig Racing has announced they’ll run full-time in 2022. Justin Haley has been selected as the driver. A second entry will see AJ Allmendinger, Daniel Hemric and Noah Gragson share the seat.

Following a large record-breaking charter purchase, 23XI Racing has acquired two charters for 2022. The team expands to a two-car team as Kurt Busch will drive the No. 45.
