Dolhun Motorsports is based out of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Ted Dolhun runs his dirt late model team along with his two sons, Jacob and TJ Dolhun. They will enter the #83 ride.

Scott James talks about his new 2017 ride, “I’m very excited to finally announce this deal with Dolhun Motorsports and to kick off our 2017 season.”

He continued, “It is something we have been working on putting together since last year, but with my knee surgery, I just had to make sure everything was good to go with that before announcing my racing plans.”

Speaking on his new team, “The Dolhun’s are a great bunch of people that have been around this sport for a long time and they know what it takes to win and run up front. They have great equipment and we have been thrashing to get this new car ready to hopefully debut later tonight at Florence before heading to the Dream next week. I have to thank the Dolhun family for this opportunity, along with all of the sponsors that we have put together to make this deal happen!”

The team will enter the #83 at Eldora Speedway this weekend. It’s the Dirt Late Model Dream! The event runs at the famed half mile dirt track through June 8-10th.

This Thursday, the event begins. That event will feature a 25 lap main event paying $5,000 to the winner. The following night, another preliminary event. Friday nights program will pay $10,000 to the winner.

Saturday night, it’s the big one. The feature event will be 100 laps around the 1/2 mile clay oval. The Dirt Late Model Dream will pay a massive $100,000 to the winner.

Scott James has started the Dirt Late Model Dream event, 7 times. Three of the entries have netted a top five result. His best finish in the crown jewel event was in 2006, where he finished 2nd to Scott Bloomquist.
