Cars 3 NASCAR racecar debuts at Michigan International Speedway driven by Kyle Larson – Lightning Larson drives #42
Yesterday, Kyle Larson brought his son, Owen Larson, to the Chip Ganassi Racing shop in Concord, NC. Watch the video below as Kyle Larson debut’s the Cars 3 racecar to his son and NASCAR fans.

It was a special day for his son. Dad will be driving the Cars 3 NASCAR racecar in the upcoming Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series event at Michigan International Speedway.

Owen eagerly ran to see the car sitting on the shop floor. The team was putting final preparations on the machine before loading the hauler and heading to Michigan.
“Who’s car does it look like?” Kyle Larson ask’s his son Owen Larson.
Owen responds, “Lightning’s!”
Owen Larson left with some new gear. Upon looking at the Lightning Larson machine. A stuffed Lightning McQueen popped out of the window. A crew member handed him the new toy.
Chip Ganassi Racing released the video with the message, “Owen might just be as excited as we are about Kyle Larson Racing’s Cars 3 paint-scheme for Michigan International Speedway!”
Kyle Larson has 6 starts at Michigan International Raceway. His previous attempt at the track on August 26, 2016 netted the team a victory. Of his six starts, he has an average finish of 14th.
Kyle Larson is no longer the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series points leader. Instead, he heads into Michigan in 2nd. One full point behind new leader, Martin Truex Jr.
The original Cars movie released in 2006 grossed $462,216,280 worldwide. Cars 2 was released in 2011 and grossed $562,110,557 worldwide.
Cars 3 has a release date of June 16, 2017.
