Martin Truex Jr vs Kyle Larson
Kyle Larson on Martin Truex, “With Truex and I, I think it’s more of like a competitive [battle]. Up until a couple weeks ago, me and him were fastest in practices, qualifying, everything. We were top 2.”
“They’ve seen to found a little bit more speed here recently and pulled away. But, at Dover we raced really hard.”
“He got into me to get by. But, you know that’s aggressive racing I think. A lot of drivers get upset about that stuff. Where I view it, as racing.”
Kyle Larson on his racing style, “I enjoy racing hard. We get paid a lot of money to be racecar drivers. Part of being a racecar driver, is racing hard.”
“I don’t mind being raced hard. And I don’t mind racing other people hard. But clean at the same time.”
I’m aggressive but clean at the same time
-Kyle Larson
Kyle Larson concluded, “I think you could go through the garage every one of them if they think I’m a dirty racecar driver or a clean one? They’d probably say I’m aggressive but clean at the same time. That’s what I want to be viewed for and I have fun racing that way.”
Yesterday, First Data announced a partnership renewal with Kyle Larson. They will be the primary sponsor for the #42 at Talladega Superspeedway as well as Martinsville Speedway.
Kyle Larson, Driver No. 42 First Data Chevrolet SS: “It’s great to see another new brand join our team. We’ve had such an exciting season so far, and we’re really glad to see First Data grow their relationship with the team and be a part of what’s happening at Chip Ganassi Racing.”
He continued, “It’s also cool to see them get involved with NASCAR by sponsoring the Martinsville race. The grandfather clock there is definitely one of the most unique trophies on the circuit, and I’d love to park the First Data Chevy in victory lane and take home a clock.”
