500 laps of short track racing around the paperclip. Joey Logano and Martin Truex Jr lead the field to the green flag.

Stage 1

Green flag, Logano leads into turn 1 on the bottom. Martin Truex Jr brakes early to find a hole on the bottom. He finds it but bobbles up the track, Ryan Blaney late brakes on the outside, he gets by Truex for 2nd, outside move.

Lap 8, Ryan Blaney wants more. He’s after the leader, beating on the rear bumper.

Lap 30, Brad Keselowski is the fastest car on the race track. He’s charging to the front. A bump to Martin Truex Jr, just to let him know that he’s coming. A late brake to the inside, Keselowski to 3rd.

Lap 36, Michael McDowell is looking under Ty Dillon. Right front to left rear contact, Dillon is sent around. Caution.

Lap 45, green. It’s an all Penske front row. Keselowski is on the inside. Slow restart, they stack up, the accordion effect. Logano takes the lead from the outside. Logano leads but Brad Keselowski wants the top spot. He’s there, new leader, Brad Keselowski.

Lap 62, caution. The #38 of David Ragan is around. That might have been off the front bumper of McDowell.

Green, this time it’s Brad Keselowski on the high side. He makes it work, he holds the lead.

54 to go in stage 1, Logano is beating on the bumper of his teammate. He pulls to the inside on corner exit. Keselowski holds the lead, on the outside back in turn 1. Penske radio, “#18 is coming.” Kesleowksi lets off the throttle early, Logano to the lead.

AJ Allmendinger drove up the banking in the center. A diamond exit. Only, when he came back down the track for the late apex, Danica Patrick filled the inside hole. Allmendinger came down across her nose. Caution.

37 to go in stage 1, Jimmie Johnson and Kasey Kahne stay out. They lead the field to green. Johnson to the lead with the oldest tires on the track. Kyle Busch is the first car with new tires, he runs 8th. Kyle Busch is making the outside work.

Brad Keselowski has caught the bumper of Johnson. He’s the first car on new tires to get there but there’s a whole train of them coming.

Stage 2

Green flag, Kyle Busch took the lead on pit road. He leads the field out of turn 2.

Lap 150, Jimmie Johnson has a train stacking up behind him. Johnson holds up the field. The #48 might be pointing the wrong direction in a minute.

Lap 185, The leaders are deep in lapped traffic. Keselowski and Ky Busch run side by side. But, the lappers are side by side in front of them. Keselowski dives to the inside, he halted by Danica Patrick as Busch goes to the outside of the #10 car.

Lap 200, Kesleowski has begun putting the bumper to Ky Busch. Light contact, great racing. Meanwhile, Trevor Bayne is throwing brake checks to Chase Elliott.

24 lap remain in stage 2. Kyle Busch is all over the back bumper of Denny Hamlin. Hamlin is 13th, trying to remain on the lead lap. At the same time, Keselowski has re-closed a 1 second gap.

10 to go, Ky Busch puts more bumpers to Denny Hamlin. Brad Keselowski jumps to the high side. He’s even with Ky Busch on exit. Hamlin goes to the top! He gives the bottom to Ky Busch but he doesn’t let him through. Ky Busch back to the lead.

3 to go, Brad Keselowski gets a run off turn 2. He dives to the bottom for turn 3. He drives it hard, off the curb and into Kasey Kahne. But, new leader, Brad Keselowski and Austin Dillon puts Joey Logano in the wall down the front straight. No caution.

Brad Keselowski won stages 1 & now stage 2.

Stage 3

Pit stops, Brad Kesleowski losses a spot on pit road. Ky Busch is first off the lane.

Green, Kyle Busch gets a bump from Martin Truex Jr and the inside line is moving into turn 1. Ky Busch to the lead. Keselowski holds off Truex for 2nd.

Caution! Kyle Larson is around down the back straight away. He was on the inside of Kyle Weatherman on the exit of turn 2. He slid on exit then hit Weatherman in the left rear. Larson looped it and backed it into the inside wall. Larson is out.

Lap 314, green flag is back out. Kyle Busch leads the field to turn 1 and out of turn 2. 24 cars are now on the lead lap, many wave arounds on the last caution.

Caution. Erik Jones jumped on the brakes in the center of the corner. Cole Whitt got on the brakes too, but he went into a slide. Whitt tagged Jones in the left rear, Jones around.

Green, Kyle Busch back to the lead. Chase Elliott to 2nd. Now Elliott os looking for the lead. He looks to the inside. A hip check, door slam at the center of the corner. Kyle Busch is up the track and Chase Elliott takes the lead.

Lap 361, caution. Ty Dillon bumped David Ragan. Ragan went of the banking and into Landon Cassill. Cassill went for a loop. The field hits pit road, Keselowski is out 1st. Chase Elliott falls to 3rd.

Green, Keselowski takes the lead from Truex Jr into turn 1. Chase Elliott is coming. 1 car at a time, Elliott is back to 2nd. He’s on the bumper of the leader.

118 to go, Keselowski overdrives the entry. He slides up through the center. Elliott sticks his nose in on the bottom. Keselowski pinches him onto the curb. Elliott lifts.

115 to go, Elliott to the lead at Martinsville Speedway.

68 to go, Elliott leads Keselowski by 1.3 seconds. However, Elliott is deep in lapped traffic. The lights are on at Martinsville Speedway.

60 to go, the gap has been erased. Elliott takes Ty Dillon and Ryan Newman 3 wide with Keselowski on his bumper.

56 to go, wheel hop into turn 3 by Chase Elliott. Brad Keselowski looks to the inside, they make contact but Elliott holds the lead. Left rear tire rub on the leader. The smoke quickly fades away.

Lap 43, caution. Carl Long is around. The field hits pit road, Elliott maintains the lead.

Green, Elliott to the lead in turn 1. Keselowski is all over the rear bumper. More contact in the next corner. On the bumper again in the next corner. Light contact, just trying to force a mistake from the NASCAR rookie.

30 to go, Keselowski has a run off turn 4. The rub doors in turn 1. New leader, Brad Keselowski.

10 to go, Joey Logano has a tire rub. Joey Logano is around. Flat right rear, it looped so quick. Logano pinched Kyle Busch on corner entry, Busch bounced off the curb, that’s where the tire rub appeared.

Green, under the lights at Martinsville. Chase Elliott on the inside, he doors Brad Keselowski, the #2 is in the marbles and loses a ton of positions.

Denny Hamlin is looking for the lead. Hamlin puts the bumper to him. Chase Elliott is around! He slides into the wall, drivers side impact with the wall.

Overtime at Martinsville! Denny Hamlin and Kyle Busch lead the field to green. Green, Denny Hamlin holds the lead on the inside. Kyle Busch puts the bumper to him! Kyle Busch to the lead.

Denny Hamlin has caused a huge mess behind them. He was sideways off turn 4. Then, he collected several cars and caused a pile up at the line.

Chase Elliott has found Denny Hamlin on the back straight-away. He turns into him. The drivers get out of their cars to talk it out.

A fan has confronted Denny Hamlin on pit road.“You’re a veteran, you shouldn’t be driving like that!” the fans yells to Denny Hamlin.
