John Travolta and Shania Twain talk Trading Paint

Trading Paint is a new dirt late model racing movie coming to theaters

Shania Twain has 40 film credits to her name, as an actor. However, despite that Trading Paint will be her first feature film. It’s been a long time coming, given her first video short was released in 1993.

John Travolta is the star of the racing movie set at the Southern dirt tracks. Twain is playing the girlfriend of John Travolta’s character in the upcoming movie.

“Shania was born to be on film,” co-star John Travolta tells Entertainment Tonight.

“I think this is such a beautiful role,” Travolta states of the upcoming dirt track racing movie Trading Paint.

“It’s fun and it feels really natural for me. I thought I was going to be really intimidated. I was surprisingly comfortable,” Twain talks the acting role of her first feature film.

The movie is being filmed in Alabama. Several scenes were shot last month at the Talladega Short Track.

Travolta shares a moment from the set. As Twain came into view song came to his mind, he started to sing it. Travolta has some singing experience as well, given he played the role of ‘Grease Lightning’. He broke into song, “This is between takes, not on camera,” Travolta confirms.

“I wanted to do a duet album with him years ago,” Twain discusses. “Music is a big part of my life. I miss doing it,” Travolta responds.

“For instance, have you seen these cars? Well they’re all lined up and a bunch of guys and girls are around the cars. I’m in front of them and I thought, ‘If I broke into Grease Lighting right now I bet it would cause a very good effect.’ Well the whole crew and everyone, went crazy.”

Twain tells the story of first meeting John Travolta. It was 12 years ago at Travolta’s house. A house that happens to have to jet planes in the driveway.

“I flew into this really cool area that had homes on a private airstrip. I mean, he pulls right up to the door of his house! It was really awesome. I was very impressed.”

You know the song ‘Don’t Impress Me Much’,” Travolta asks. “I was very much impressed,” Twain stated.

Trading Paint is due to be released nationwide in 2o18.
