NASCAR is racing at North Wilkesboro Speedway this weekend. It marks the first points paying NASCAR Cup Series event at the track since 1996.
On Saturday, just ahead of NASCAR Cup Series qualifying, a large rain shower rolled into the area. NASCAR was forced to cancel qualifying as a result.
However, a fan decided to make a show out of it.
He ran from the infield pit area and climbed the pit wall onto the race track. With his hands in the area, he ran in circles at the start/finish line.
The entertainment value brought a cheering reaction from the crowd as they sat in the rain delay.
Yet, security wasn’t having it. Two security members grabbed the man and he was escorted.

Last month, a fan climbed the fence and ran onto the track at Naval Base Coronado. In that situation, the incident took place during the race but it was under red flag conditions.
