Kyle Busch on Joey Logano: “I got a real buddy there”
Kyle Busch finished 2nd in a lot of categories in 2017.
Kyle Busch was 2nd in fastest laps with 1,043 of those. He was also 2nd in laps led with 1,867. In both of those cases, Martin Truex Jr was the driver that took the number 1 spot.
Kyle Busch capped off the season by finishing 2nd in the race at Hometead-Miami Speedway. A runner-up finish in the final race and in the championship standings. Again, Martin Truex Jr took 1st in each of those cases.
“They deserved it, probably on every other race. But today, I thought we were better.””We gave it everything we had. We gave it our all,” Kyle Busch told NBC after finishing 2nd in the race and the championship. “So, congrats to the #78.”
“It doesn’t matter though. They were out front when it mattered most. Just unfortunate for us that caution came out and kinda ruined our race strategy.”
“Then, I had to fight way too hard with some of them other guys tryin’ to get back up through there. Battlin’ with the #22 there. Just wastin’ too much time with him.”
I got a real buddy there.
“He held me up. He was there blockin’ every single chance he got. I got a real buddy there.”
“That’s racin’. That’s what happens.”
