Wallace: “Yeah! See we don’t knock. We have that friendship where we just barge in.”
Bubba Wallace and Ryan Blaney both competed in the first of two Daytona Duels last night. They finished 1st and 3rd. These two have been friends for years and they mutually finished on the podium at Daytona.
I’m not sure many people get see the real personalties of these two. Bubba Wallace tends to let his come out frequently. Blaney on the other hand is full of unique personalty but tends to turn it off during press interviews.
Below was a special moment shared with the two Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series drivers.
“Hey! We finished P3 in the #43,” Bubba Wallace opens his Periscope video. “That was sick. That was a hell of a shove I gave him. And he’s parked right behind me.”
Darrell Wallace Jr grabbed a Coke for himself and a beer for the race winner. Then, he proceeded to invade the hauler of Ryan Blaney.
Wallace: “Hey! Congrats my friend. I got ya something.”
Blaney: “Thanks for the push there.”
Wallace: “What do ya think?”
Blaney: “I think that was pretty fun.”
Wallace: “Look at him representing the 2nd Duel winner.”
Blaney was wearing a Chase Elliott shirt. Elliott had just won the 2nd race in the Daytona Duels at Daytona.
Blaney: “Yeah. He gave me a shirt today. Gave it to me for free.”
Wallace: “Wow. That’s impressive.”
Blaney: “I got a Chase Elliott one, before a Bubba Wallace one. Shows what a friend you are.”
Wallace: “Shows? I don’t even have anything of Ryan’s because he doesn’t have anything.”
Blaney: “Yeah. Thanks for invading my bus. LIVE, without telling me.”
Wallace: “Yeah! See we don’t knock. We have that friendship where we just barge in. He could have been butt ass naked. But, he wasn’t.”
Blaney: “I just got out of the shower. I would have been 5 minutes prior to you coming in. So, that would have been a good LIVE video.”
With the win in the Can-Am Duel, Ryan Blaney will start 3rd in the Daytona 500. Bubba Wallace will start 7th. The race will air this Sunday from Daytona International Speedway.
