Texas Motor Speedway qualifying results from April 6, 2018
The skies are dark over the top of Texas Motor Speedway. The storms are rolling in as qualifying is set to get underway.

Stewart-Haas Racing is the team to beat again today. They swept the top 3 positions in the opening practice round. That dominance was led by Clint Bowyer.
A 15 minute session is set to get underway. The top 24 cars advance to round 2.
Everybody is lined up on the pit lane. Rain is in the area, it’s important to put down a banker lap.
Chris Buescher is in the wall early off turn four. The rear end stepped out and he clipped the wall. The car snapped around and smacked the front. The track is still under green flag conditions but Buescher never turned a lap.
Kurt Busch leads in round 1 with 2 minutes remaining in round 1.
Chris Buescher has been allowed to change two tires. He’s fixed and on track with just over a minute remaining. Buescher to 16th!
