Michigan International Speedway final practice results for the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series
It’s the last time on the track before the race on Sunday. Michigan International Speedway practice is set to get underway.

This practice is more important than usual. It’s basically the only race-practice the series has. The practice on Friday was used for a qualifying setup. The practice this morning was only 15 minutes and the track wasn’t close to race conditions.

It’s a 1 hour and 5 minute session at Michigan International Speedway.
5 minutes in, Chase Elliott is around off turn 4. The backend stepped out in the middle of the corner. He stepped on the gas to keep it out of the wall. However, as he came off the corner he slid down the track and through the grass. Minor damage to the front end for NASCAR’s most recent winner.
Joe Logano wins practice. It’s the first session or round that hasn’t been won by a Toyota for the entire weekend.
The Consumers Energy 400 will air on Sunday at 2:30. The race is a 200-mile event.
