Swainsboro Raceway engine rules for the Turkey 100 are posted below

This weekend, Swainsboro Raceway is hosting a big crate late model show. The track is a 3/10-mile oval located in Swainsboro, Georgia.

This weekend, the Georgia dirt track is hosting the Turkey 100. The third addition of the crate late model show features a $20,000 payout to the feature race winner at the conclusion of the multi-day show.

The main event takes place on Saturday night. Qualifying at heat races got underway on Friday night.

Brandon Overton, Kyle Bronson, Scott Bloomquist are a few of the national dirt late model drivers in attendance.

In the first of four qualifying rounds, Scott Bloomquist set quick time. He turned a 14.755, two tenths quicker than the field.

Following qualifying, Bloomquist’s time was disqualified. The Team Zero machine did not have a fan blade attached to the engine for his qualifying run. That’s a violation of the crate engine rules.

He returned to the track for his heat race later that night. After starting at the tail of the field, Bloomquist managed a 4th place effort to conclude the Friday night crate late model program. That was the final transfer position offered in his heat. He’ll start the main event from 15th. Overton will be on the pole following his heat win.

The “Southern Dream” Zaxby’s Crate Late Model $20,000 to win event will take the green on Saturday night. The main event is 100 laps in duration.
