Battle at the Border results from the first night in the World of Outlaws Late Model Series season
There’s been a change of pace for the 2020 World of Outlaws Late Model Series schedule. This time around, the schedule opens with the Battle at the Border in New Mexico.

Vado Speedway Park hosts the event from January 2-5, 2020. The track, founded in 2017, is a 3/8-mile semi-banked oval.
Brandon Sheppard won just about eveything in 2019. He’s returned to the top of the times sheets in the first practice session of the season.
Sheppard was quickest overall of the 32 drivers to turn a time in Vado, New Mexico.
Chris Madden was 2nd on the times sheet. He ran his quickest lap will piloting the #0 machine for Scott Bloomquist. The #0M machine was 25th quickest.
Scott Bloomquist, Chris Madden and Ricky Weiss are all new to the World of Outlaws Late Model Series for 2020. Weiss sits in the top five after the opening night of practice.
The event will officially begin on Friday night. That will be followed by a Saturday and Sunday appearance on the same track.
