Soon after, rapper Pitbull jumped on board, becoming a co-owner of the operation. With added funding, expansion plans would soon follow.
In June 2021, Trackhouse Racing engaged in a bold buyout. The team purchased Chip Ganassi Racing which included equipment and charters.
For 2022, the team will operate two full-time cars in the NASCAR Cup Series. Daniel Suarez will continue to drive the No. 99 while Ross Chastain pilots the No. 1 car.
Since the off-season, the team has moved both cars into the former Chip Ganassi Racing shop. The entire facility has been rebranded.
The company now has 120 employees.

Pitbull welcomes new team members
Pitbull sent out a video welcoming new employees of the team and asked them to “to empower, motivate and inspire.”
“We gave the employees last Friday off so we could rebrand the shop and then welcomed them into our new house today,” said Marks.
“I intentionally wanted all the employees to walk into the shop together as one team. It was cool to watch their faces. Their reactions were priceless.”
