Stage 1 – Report
Laps: 15 (1-15 / 62)
Green flag, Elliott noses ahead into turn one. Briscoe drives it deep under braking on the outside. They run side by side into turn five, Elliott holds the lead via the outside lane.
Lap 5, Aric Almirola and Kyle Busch spin in turn five, no caution.
Lap 10, Elliott leads Briscoe by 3 seconds. However, Elliott says he has a steering issue. Hendrick Motorsports is coming up with a plan for the pit stop.
3 to go in stage one, Kyle Larson pits from 3rd. Many cars follow.
Pit Penalty: Denny Hamlin drove through too many pit boxes and he’ll serve a penalty.
2 to go, Elliott hits the pit lane. He hands the lead to Chase Briscoe.

Briscoe the the rest of the cars that stayed out hit the pit lane. Elliott cycles back to the lead.
Pit Penalty: Hamlin drove through too many boxes, again. He’ll serve a second penalty.
Green flag on stage two, Elliott and Larson run side by side into turn one. Elliott clears him into turn three.
Lap 23, Kyle Larson blocks a run into turn five but he misses the corner. Tyler Reddick takes over 2nd.
Joey Logano spins into turn five and collects Bubba Wallace, no caution.
3 to go in stage two, many of the leaders head for the pit lane.
2 to go, Elliott pits from the lead with Reddick, Larson and others. Blaney is handed the lead.
Bubba Wallace shoves Joey Logano off the track, no caution.

Blaney and the rest of the cars that didn’t pit head for the pit lane. Elliott cycles back to the race lead.
Green flag on stage three, Elliott and Reddick run side by side into turn one. Elliott clears him in turn two.
Lap 35, Bubba Wallace is around, no caution.
Lap 37, Kyle Larson leans on the back bumper of Chastain for 3rd. Chastain runs off track and drops to 5th.
20 to go, Elliott leads Reddick by 1 second.

19 to go, Elliott and Reddick hit the pit lane. They exit the pit lane bumper to bumper. Elliott throws a block into turn one.
17 to go, Elliott misses the braking zone in turn five! He runs wide and Reddick works to his inside. Reddick takes the spot. Elliott fights back by Reddick holds the spot.
15 to go, the green flag pit cycle is complete. Reddick leads Elliott by 1.3 seconds.
7 to go, Bubba Wallace pulls to an escape route in turn five, no caution.
5 to go, Reddick leads Elliott by 1.5 seconds.
3 to go, Reddick opens the gap to 3 seconds.
2 to go, Austin Dillon has a flat tire.
Tyler Reddick wins at Road America! That’s his first career wins in the Cup Series, it comes in his 92nd start.
