The car was en route to the Snowball Derby when the strange incident occurred

An image surfaced online of a Rick and Morty themed race car that’s gone for a swim in a hotel pool. The #8 car has gone viral while underwater on social media.

The machine was heading to the 5 Flags Speedway in Pensacola, Florida. Cameron Leytham is the driver of the car and was set to compete this week.

The hood of the car features Mr. Meeseeks from the tv show Rick and Morty. It then ironically reads, “Look at me.”

The car has since been removed from the pool. They’re engaged in making repairs to the car, the team is from Mobile, Alabama.

On Thursday, the driver explained how it happened…

Cameron Leytham comments

“So the rumors are true unfortunately the straps broke,” Cameron Leytham stated via Facebook.

“The car went for a little swim. We are working on it and trying to get it rebuilt now.”

“Got the motor back together and in now the transmission is out.”

The 55th annual Snowball Derby is a multi-day event which begins tonight. The famed asphalt short track event concludes on Sunday December 4th.
