Austin Cindric suffered from an electrical issue during practice. However, he was able to turn a qualifying lap.
Corey LaJoie got loose off turn four during practice. He chased it up the hill and tagged the outside wall. The team was able to repair the car for qualifying.
The field is split into two qualifying groups. The top 5 from each group advance into the final round and make another run for the pole position.
