NASCAR qualifying results from The Roval at Charlotte Motor Speedway
Later today the NASCAR Xfinity Series takes the green flag in Charlotte, North Carolina. Now, the field rolls to the Charlotte Motor Speedway Road Course for a round of practice and qualifying.

After practice, John Hunter Nemechek suffered a mechanical failure. The team pushed the car back to the garage with a trail of oil. The No. 20 will not take part in qualifying.
Typically, the field is split into two groups for the opening round of qualifying. The two from each group advance into the final round and make another run for the pole position.
There’s a lengthy oil cleanup after Group A in round one. NASCAR has elected to remove the seconds round. Only 1 round will be used to set the grid.
