Speedweeks continues for the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series
National late model drivers have pulled into Lake City, Florida. The half-mile dirt track of All-Tech Raceway is set to host the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series.

The track has been drastically reworked ahead of the feature. Ricky Thornton Jr and Jimmy Owens set the front row. Tonight’s winner will be handed a check for $12,000. 50 laps of dirt track racing are up next.
Main Event
Report
Green flag, Thornton Jr heads for the bottom and he clears Owens off turn two.
Lap 3, Hudson O’Neal is rolling the bottom and closing on Owens. He drives by on the inside. Owens is trapped on the top as most of the field is on the bottom, he falls to 4th.
Lap 11, Thornton Jr has caught the tail of the field. He moves to the top, runs wide and brushes the turn two wall! Thornton Jr holds the lead.
Lap 13, Max Blair slows with damage, caution.
Green, Thornton Jr leads as Joseph Joiner clears O’Neal for 2nd off turn two. Joiner is making the cushion work and he’s closing on the leader.
Lap 15, Thornton Jr moves off the bottom lane. Joiner cuts to the inside, side by side for the lead. A lap later, Thornton Jr drives it deep into turn one and he pinches and clears Joiner.
Lap 20, O’Neal slides Joiner for 2nd. O’Neal moves right back to the cushion. Thornton Jr leads by 10 car lengths.
Lap 22, Thornton Jr moves to the cushion. This track is changing rapidly.
Lap 25, Devin Moran works under O’Neal for 2nd. Thornton Jr works heavy lap traffic, Moran closes quickly. Thornton Jr takes the lap cars three wide and he opens the gap.
Lap 30, Moran is closing once more on Thornton Jr. Moran works the bottom.
Lap 33, the leaders race through lap traffic. Thornton Jr and Jonathan Davenport rub doors.
16 to go
16 to go, Chris Madden slides Moran, he drives into the door of Moran. Madden spins and the caution is out. Moran was already heading for the bottom when Madden stuck it in there late.
Green, Thornton Jr leads O’Neal off turn two.
14 to go, O’Neal has moved to the inside lane. Thornton Jr is on the cushion and opening the gap.
12 to go, Garrett Alberson has found speed on the cushion. He drives right by Moran and O’Neal, Alberson to 2nd as he throws sparks off the wall!
9 to go, Tony Jackson Jr spins, caution.
Green, Alberson jumps the cushion into turn one and he tags the wall! Alberson slows with a broken suspension and the caution is back out!
Green, Thornton Jr leads Moran as they both head for the top.
5 to go, Thornton Jr opens the gap.
3 to go, Cody Overton slows with a flat tire, caution.
Green, Thornton Jr leads Moran.
