ESPN, FOX and Warner Bros. to launch new sports streaming service

A new joint venture sports streaming service is being formed

ESPN, FOX and Warner Bros. Discovery are teaming up to launch a joint streaming service for sporting events. Sports programming rights from all three companies will be joined into the joint streaming service.

The new service is expected to be released in fall 2024. It will available via a new app.

Subscribers will have options to bundle products such as Disney+, Hulu and/or Max. Each of the three companies will own 1/3 of the new product and have equal board representation.

The new app will have content from the following networks: ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, SECN, ACCN, ESPNEWS, ABC, FOX, FS1, FS2, BTN, TNT, TBS, truTV, as well as ESPN+.

The move comes shortly after Amazon’s recent investment in Bally Sports. Amazon Prime recently signed a deal with NASCAR to show select races beginning in 2025.
