Two people climbed the fence of the Chicago Street Course then handcuffed themselves to the catchfence
Today, NASCAR is racing in the streets of Downtown Chicago. Yet, the start of the race was delayed due to protesters who climbed the track fencing.

Two people climbed the fencing and then handcuffed themselves to the top of the fence. They held up a sign between them.
One side of the sign stated, “Bombs for Gaza.” The sign added, “Prisons for Illinois.”
They appeared to be supporters of Palestine, protesting the war with Israel.
The sign was reversible. On the other side it stated, “Pritzker we charge, Genocide!”
Jay Robert Pritzker is the Governor of Illinois.
The two protesters were only on the top of the fence for a moment. Officials reached them with a ladder. They were eventually removed and then arrested.
NASCAR stated over the radio, “Alright, let’s go racing.”
However, the race was then delayed again as rain rolled into the area.
