NASCAR penalty report from October 2024 after Homestead-Miami Speedway; Six penalties issued including two suspensions
NASCAR has concluded a busy race weekend in Homestead-Miami Speedway. The track hosted playoff events for the NASCAR Cup Series, Xfinity Series and Truck Series.

In Saturday’s NASCAR Truck Series races, driver Conner Jones lined up the rear bumper of Matt Mills and sent him up the track and into the outside wall. The truck caught fire and slid to a stop toward the inside wall.
After the incident, Mills was transported to a local hospital. He was released on Monday and is now cleared to race.
NASCAR has issued a suspension to Conner Jones for the incident.

After the race weekend, five other penalties have been announced. That includes an L1 penalty for the truck driven by Layne Riggs after NASCAR confiscated their steering wheel.
