NASCAR has disqualified Layne Riggs after the race at Kansas Speedway
On Saturday night, the NASCAR Truck Series races in Kansas City, KS. The race at the 1.5-mile of Kansas Speedway ended with a thriller.
Layne Riggs was running down Carson Hocevar all the way down to the final lap. Riggs looked under Hocevar into the corner.
Riggs got loose under him and ran wide off the corner. He clipped Hocevar in the left rear and they both slid up the track and into the wall.
Both drivers were able to complete the final half of the last lap. Hocevar stuck his middle finger out of the window as he drove to victory lane.
Riggs crossed the line in 2nd. However, he will not be credited with that result.

Layne Riggs disqualified
After the race, trucks must pass NASCAR inspection. NASCAR found a violation on the Front Row Motorsports No. 34 driven by Layne Riggs.
NASCAR has disqualified Riggs and relegated him to a last place finish.
The rule violated is related to the truck bed cover. The material is required to be strong enough that it doesn’t sag during the race. The bed must all be sealed.
Section 14.4.9.A: “Bed cover material must be strong enough to prevent the cover from deflecting or sagging and must be sealed around the perimeter of all bed panels while the vehicle is in competition.”
Carson Hocevar has cleared post-race tech inspection. He is officially the race winner.
