An altercation at Devil’s Bowl Speedway led to an official suffering injuries
Devil’s Bowl Speedway is a dirt track located in West Haven, VT. On Sunday, the track hosted the Sportsman Modified C.J. Richards Memorial race.

On Sunday night, an alleged inebriated fan was involved in an altercation with a track official. Official Tony Andrews has since been released from the hospital.
The fan has been arrested and he was also banned from the track.
Update:
On Monday, the track provided the following update via social media:
“After an incident in the pit area with a fan under the influence from the infield on Sunday night, our track official Tony Andrews was released from the hospital this afternoon with a concussion, bruised neck and shoulder.”
“He is now home resting and on the mend. The fan is no longer allowed at the speedway, and was held without bail on aggravated assault charges at a court hearing today.”
“We appreciate the effort by everyone at the track on Sunday during the incident. Tony would also like to thank everyone that has reached out or helped during the situation.”
The track concluded, “Please keep Tony in your thoughts and prayers.”
Devil’s Bowl Speedway’s next event is schedule for this Saturday August 16th. The night includes sportsman modifieds, novice sportsman, 500cc mini sprints, mini stocks, crown vics and 358 modifieds.
